Not for people, but for furniture. I love rehabing furniture. I have purchased and sold many items on Craigslist that have become fantastic pieces. You can also find great things at yard sales, flea markets, even the side of the road, lol, not joking! Some sanding, a can of paint, new hardware and you have a brand new, one-of-a-kind, piece of “art”.
GREAT tip: Check Craigslist around the 1st of the month. People are moving and anxious to get rid of things. Go to the “for sale” section and click:
1)’free’: check this page often. You’d be surprised of the quality items people give away, a true come up.
2) ‘furniture’ (right below ‘free’): check your neighboring cities, you can’t be scared to drive if the deal is worth it. Negotiate, but don’t insult. All they can do is say ‘no’.
